Filigree gold-plated short necklace with tiger eye and black tourmaline

This delicate necklace combines tiger eye beads with a matching drop-shaped pendant and gold-plated elements. Subtle black tourmaline beads add small, dark accents that bring the design to life. The piece is delicate, earthy, and exudes natural warmth.

Details about the piece of jewelry

The necklace consists of tiger eye beads (Brazil, grade 3A–4A) and single black tourmaline beads (Brazil, grade 4A), all approximately 3 mm in diameter.
The tiger eye beads display a beautiful, iridescent color gradient from golden yellow to brown with the typical shine of tiger eye.
A small, drop-shaped tiger's eye pendant harmoniously rounds off the design. All metal components are made of high-quality, 18-carat gold-plated brass.
The chain measures approx. 39 cm.
The small size of the individual elements makes the piece of jewelry both understated and elegant. It complements both warm autumnal tones and clean, natural outfits.

Special features of the stone

Tiger's eye belongs to the microcrystalline quartz family. It consists of silicon dioxide with inclusions of quartz, amphiboles, and hematite. It was formed through hydrothermal processes in which the fibrous mineral crocidolite was replaced by quartz. This structure gives it its characteristic shimmer and shine.

Black tourmaline belongs to the silicate family. It consists of complex mixtures of silicates and borosilicates, with elements such as iron, aluminum, magnesium, lithium, manganese, titanium, chromium, vanadium, as well as ions of calcium, sodium, potassium, and even lead. This diversity gives the stone its extraordinary structure and depth.
