Details about the piece of jewelry

This delicate necklace features a fine cable chain (approx. 2 mm) and a small, irregularly shaped labradorite pendant. The natural stone originates from Madagascar (quality 5A) and exhibits a gray-green color with subtle bluish reflections. Measuring approximately 9 x 7 mm, the pendant is both understated and sophisticated.
All metallic elements are made of 18-carat gold-plated brass.

Special features of the stone

Labradorite belongs to the feldspar family. It consists of sodium-calcium aluminosilicates and contains traces of iron. Its characteristic metallic iridescent color, a play of colors between blue, green, and sometimes gold, is caused by light interference in the mineral's lamellar structures. This optical phenomenon is called labradorescence.
