Filigree gold-plated necklace with lapis lazuli

Details about the piece of jewelry

The necklace is made of lapis lazuli beads (Afghanistan, grade 5A) with a diameter of approximately 3 mm. The beads are a vibrant royal blue with subtle inclusions of pyrite and calcite, which add depth and character to the stone.
A small handmade charm complements the design and adds an additional golden accent.
All metal parts are made of high-quality 18-carat gold-plated brass.
The chain measures approximately 41 cm and has an approximately 2.5 cm extension for individual adjustment.
The small size of the individual elements makes this piece of jewelry both understated and elegant. It's suitable for all occasions, from everyday wear to festive outfits.

Special features of the stone

Lapis lazuli belongs to the silicate family and consists primarily of sulfurized sodium aluminosilicate (lazurite). The stone also contains calcite (white inclusions) and pyrite (golden inclusions). Its intense blue color is due to the sulfur contained in the lazurite.
