Chandelier earrings gold-plated with mokait jasper pearls

The earrings are made of 18 carat gold-plated brass. The pearls used are mokait jasper.

The earrings have a length of approx. 5 cm and a maximum width of approx. 3.5 cm. They are relatively light with a weigt < 3 g.

Mokait belongs to the family of microcrystalline quartz, more specifically to the jasper group. It consists of silicon dioxide and owes its autumn coloring to the presence of iron oxide.
